Ingredients

  • 4 Slices. Thick-cut, rustic white bread.

  • 50g. Salted butter, softened.

  • 25g. Mayonnaise.

  • 4 Slices. American Cheese.

  • 2 Slices. Pecorino Romano Cheese.

  • 2 Slices. Provolone Cheese.

Make It

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, mix butter and mayonnaise until thoughly blended.

  2. Spread mayonnaise mixture thickly and evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

  3. In a skillet over medium heat, build sandwich base: bread (butter side down), American / Provolone / Romano / American. Press into skillet, turning 90 degrees every 30 seconds until bread is toasted.

  4. Add bread top (butter side up) and flip. Repeat above rotation until new bread slice is toasted.

  5. Silce and serve immediately.
